is this a site where people sign up for help?
no, but keep reading. this site is list (registry) of organizations that provide help. we call them ministries, but that does not mean they are religious organizations. at this time, if they have a sign-up for help, you should be able to follow the links on their ministry listing. most ministries operate on a first-come, first-served basis and may require personal information to get their services. if they do, they are collecting it because they are required to do so to maintain their funding to help you. we plan to help with sign-ups in early 2022 for organizations that have limited resources, but not until we get them here. when we do, we will not collect less-sensitive information than you ultimately need to provide them. we will facilitate - help - the process, not replace it.
do i need to register or sign in to use this site and find help?
no. absolutely not. you can use this site entirely for free without registering or signing in. if you are here for help, registering will allow you to save your favorite ministries and quickly access them. we want to help ministries prepare for the days when we provide serivces to them to help you more efficiently. for example, we hope to help those ministries that want to let you pre-register for their help. registeration will be required for things like that.
we have multiple campuses, ministries, and engage in shared ministry with other organizations... how is that going to work?
the ministry management tools we will be rolling out the first few weeks will accommodate all of this. if you want admins from multiple organizations for a single ministry at one location, we have that covered. everyone can manage their own ministries and their shared ministries at the same time, as dictated by orgnzational or even campus-level admins.
do you collect personal information?
good question. registering as a person requires an email address and password. that’s it. and we will leave it at that, and maybe a name, for now. if ministries ask us to help faciliate pre-registrations for their services, then we will offer to collect what they need in that process. we do not see any reason or need to store identification, financial, or any other type of sensitive information. these ministries may require gender, age/dob, household size, etc., as part of their recordkeeping. anything we can safely store to help ministries help you get help more easily and quickly, we will. ministries can store your personal details as they do now.
